The Opportunity:
We are pleased to present a distinctive opportunity for a Fixed Gas Detection Lead Engineer.

In this engaging role, you will oversee both proactive and reactive maintenance on various gas detection systems at client locations.

This encompasses, but is not limited to, routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and system commissioning.

You will also provide training and mentorship to other field service engineers while developing method statements for servicing and maintaining various manufacturers' systems in line with their manuals.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems at client sites.
Perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning.
Train and mentor other field-based engineers.
Develop method statements to service and maintain different manufacturers' systems according to the relevant manuals.
Be available for emergency call-outs (approximately 10-12 per year; varies).
Travel across the UK 3-5 days a week.

Qualifications:
Current qualification to maintain Crowcon fixed gas detection systems. (Mandatory)

Minimum of 2 years of experience working on fixed gas detection systems in a field-based role, including troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning.

Ability to travel across the UK. (Mandatory)
Flexibility to respond to customer call-outs, including outside standard working hours. (Mandatory)
Compex certification for working on ATEX-certified equipment. (Advantageous)
BSth Edition certification for installations. (Advantageous)
Current or previous qualifications to maintain GDS, MSA, Drager, BW, and/or other manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems. (Beneficial)
Experience in scoping and installing new fixed gas detection systems, including client handover. (Beneficial)
ECITB CCNSG. (Beneficial)
EUSR Water Hygiene. (Beneficial)
Confined Space Medium Risk certification. (Beneficial)

Working Schedule:
40 hours a week Monday to Friday with overtime as required.
Able to travel 3-5 days a week.
On standby for emergency call-outs 24/7.
