Position Overview:
We are pleased to present a distinctive opportunity for a Lead Engineer specializing in Fixed Gas Detection.

In this engaging role, you will oversee both proactive and reactive maintenance of various gas detection systems at client locations.

Responsibilities will include routine calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and system commissioning.

You will also be responsible for training and mentoring other field service engineers, as well as developing method statements for servicing and maintaining diverse manufacturers' systems in line with their manuals.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance on various manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems at client sites.
Perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning.
Train and mentor other field-based engineers.
Develop method statements to service and maintain different manufacturers' systems according to relevant manuals.
Be available for emergency call-outs (approximately 10-12 per year; varies).
Travel across the UK 3-5 days a week.

Qualifications:
Current qualification to maintain Crowcon fixed gas detection systems. (Mandatory)

A minimum of 2 years of experience working on fixed gas detection systems in a field-based capacity, including troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning.

Flexibility to respond to customer call-outs, including outside standard working hours. (Mandatory)
Compex certification for working on ATEX-certified equipment. (Advantageous)
BSth Edition certification for installations. (Advantageous)
Current or previous qualifications to maintain GDS, MSA, Drager, BW, and/or other manufacturers' fixed gas detection systems. (Beneficial)
Experience in scoping and installing new fixed gas detection systems, including client handover. (Beneficial)
ECITB CCNSG. (Beneficial)
EUSR Water Hygiene. (Beneficial)
Confined Space Medium Risk certification. (Beneficial)

Work Schedule:
40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as required.
Able to travel 3-5 days a week.
On standby for emergency call-outs 24/7.
