Fire Detection Systems Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of fire detection systems for our clients, ensuring a high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Installation: Ensure that all installations are compliant with relevant guidelines and British Standards, including internal best practice methods. A good understanding of BS5839-1 is required, along with experience in the application of different types of fire detection equipment.
- Integration and Testing: Integrate fire detection systems into existing infrastructure or site systems, and conduct thorough testing and commissioning to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with client expectations and relevant British Standards.
- Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation of installation procedures, configurations, and system integrations. Provide training to clients and end-users on how to operate and maintain fire detection systems effectively.
- Quality Assurance and Customer Support: Ensure that all installations meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Offer technical support to clients during and after the installation process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in installing, commissioning, and integrating fire detection systems, including aspirating detection, beam detection, and linear heat detection products.
- Strong technical skills in electrical wiring, system configuration/programming, and integration to 3rd party systems.
- A good understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations related to the selection and application of fire detection systems.
