Our team is integral to the business, engaging with new clients, maintaining existing client relationships, and overseeing various projects.

Role Overview

This position will primarily focus on accounts in the Netherlands and Belgium, with the potential to engage with additional accounts based on availability. Comprehensive training will be provided, and responsibilities will evolve as expertise is developed.

The core responsibilities of the department include:

  1. Assessment of client solutions utilizing knowledge of global recruitment and staffing regulations, invoicing, and tax legislation, with assistance from local legal advisors as necessary.
  2. Drafting and negotiating international client agreements, which includes facilitating round table discussions and supervising local contracts.
  3. Managing staffing and other supplier integrations into a managed service, issuing supplier agreements and addressing standard inquiries.
  4. Providing counsel on risk assessments in contractual agreements for legal and commercial issues, involving senior legal advisors when required.
  5. Addressing operational inquiries from clients, including the interpretation of contractual terms and modifications.
  6. Securing internal approvals, including management summaries of contractual risks.
  7. Establishing a specialized area of law within the team, with current members focusing on employment law, licensing, and more.

Collaboration with Local Legal Advisors

While managing client matters in Belgium and the Netherlands, you will collaborate with local legal advisors on industry-specific regulations to ensure a unified approach.

Management Responsibilities

Team members typically serve as client partners for multi-country accounts, maintaining matter trackers and conducting bi-monthly meetings with stakeholders.

Qualifications Required:

  • Qualified or experienced legal professional with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house setting.
  • Familiarity with employment law and ideally staffing services.
  • Capability to negotiate client and supplier agreements.
  • Willingness to deepen understanding of commercial deal components.
  • Comprehension of business operations, technology utilization, invoicing processes, and service standards.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage contracts and clarify complex legal issues.
  • Confidence to engage, inquire, and challenge when necessary.
  • Curiosity to learn about international laws and engage with diverse cultural perspectives.
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch for drafting and negotiation purposes.
  • Full-time role or .8 FTE.
