About the Role

Mansell Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Senior Maintenance Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough fault finding and problem-solving of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Perform hands-on repairs, maintenance, and installation work, utilizing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems expertise.
  • Manage contractors, including inductions, safety plans, and performance evaluations, to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Project manage service, upgrades, and installations, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments, operating procedures, and equipment documentation to support team needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and improve procedures, work practices, and maintenance plans to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, quality awareness, and a commitment to high safety standards, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Continuously develop and expand skills to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
Requirements
  • NVQ, HNC, B.Tec, or similar formal qualifications in an engineering-based discipline.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in upkeep and fault finding on mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, with expertise in areas such as hydraulics, vacuum systems, pneumatics, and PLC controls.
  • Experience in safe contractor management, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment, even under pressure.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and relevant software for data acquisition, treatment, and processing.
