Maintenance Technician for Semiconductor Equipment

Position Summary: We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to be an integral part of our manufacturing division at Snap Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in engineering tasks related to the manufacturing and enhancement of both established and novel processes.
  • Work primarily within a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict protocols while wearing a full cleanroom suit.
  • Initially, this role will be day-based with a transition to shift work expected.
  • Support and maintain production operations effectively.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and restore equipment to operational status.
  • Ensure all machinery operates according to specifications and complies with applicable standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, vacuum systems, electronics, and mechanical components.
  • Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing tools; develop troubleshooting methodologies and support systems.
  • Utilize schematics, tools, and standard testing equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair tasks.
  • Disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment following maintenance specifications and OEM manuals.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to machinery aimed at boosting efficiency, yield, and productivity while minimizing operating costs.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering principles and procedures by all personnel operating equipment.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in line with ISO 18001 standards.
  • Supervise and mentor fellow technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of semiconductor technology, optical devices, or display systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing work conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Experience in vendor collaboration for troubleshooting and equipment repair.
  • Proven track record of implementing machine improvements to reduce costs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a similar fabrication setting.
