About The Role

M Group Services is seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Technician to join our team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Highways team, you will be responsible for undertaking duties associated with the maintenance and construction of public highways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on Highways furniture, equipment, and similar fixtures, including erection, maintenance, fixing, and/or dismantling.
  • Drive and operate plant and equipment necessary for maintenance and drainage on Highways and Network, following successful training.
  • Take responsibility for vehicles, plant, and materials in your charge, completing site paperwork as required.
  • Provide direction and supervision to less experienced operatives, where necessary.
  • Represent the company when out on the highway network, maintaining good standards when dealing with or working around members of the public.
  • Carry out duties in a safe manner, complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Clean driving license.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
  • CSCS Card.
Desirable:
  • New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative Accreditation.
  • LGV Class C driving license / HGV license.
