M Group Services is seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Technician to join our team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Highways team, you will be responsible for undertaking duties associated with the maintenance and construction of public highways.
Key Responsibilities:- Work on Highways furniture, equipment, and similar fixtures, including erection, maintenance, fixing, and/or dismantling.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment necessary for maintenance and drainage on Highways and Network, following successful training.
- Take responsibility for vehicles, plant, and materials in your charge, completing site paperwork as required.
- Provide direction and supervision to less experienced operatives, where necessary.
- Represent the company when out on the highway network, maintaining good standards when dealing with or working around members of the public.
- Carry out duties in a safe manner, complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Clean driving license.
- Commitment to Health and Safety.
- Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
- CSCS Card.
- New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative Accreditation.
- LGV Class C driving license / HGV license.
- 21 days' annual leave, increasing to 26 with length of service, plus 8 days' bank holiday.
