Automotive Partnerships Manager

We're revolutionizing electric vehicle ownership by building a cutting-edge, virtual charging platform that simplifies the experience for customers.
As one of the largest eMobility players globally, with over 800,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, we're expanding internationally, partnering with more automotive and tech companies, and creating integrated charging experiences of the future.
Our multifunctional team, comprising product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships, and more, is focused on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. We're seeking a skilled Partnerships Manager to help drive our global growth, identifying and collaborating with charge point operators to increase our charging coverage and grow with them.
About the RoleAs we enter a new stage of rapid growth, we're looking for a Partnerships Manager to lead the development and delivery of customer-oriented propositions that help grow our partner base and market share.
- Identify new charge point operators and companies to approach and partner with
- Develop and deliver excellent in-person and remote pitches, showcasing our solution, the EV charging market, and how we solve customer needs
- Lead partnership & contract negotiations from initiation through to close
- Manage and develop a wide range of existing partner relationships
- Identify and develop valuable key stakeholder relationships with potential customers and influence decision-making processes
- Work with management and executive teams to develop our customer proposition, ensuring value creation for the business and outstanding satisfaction for our end customers
- Collaborate with Product teams to match current offerings and opportunities with technical capabilities and roadmaps
- Work closely with all functions within Electroverse to ensure you're pitching the 'latest and greatest' our platform has to offer
- Proactively lead business opportunities without close supervision or hand-holding
- A proven track record of sales/partnerships experience - 4 years of experience
- Success in closing deals & maintaining outstanding prospect relationships
- Experience leading pitches & presentations to a high standard
- Outstanding people skills: energized by speaking to people and building long-term relationships
- Experience of being hands-on in legal and pricing negotiations
- Experience or understanding of working with software & technology-driven products
- Excellent communication skills, summarizing complex problems and recommending concise plans of action
- A proven ability to build relationships at all organizational levels, especially the C-suite
- An eye for detail, with a clear and organized approach to account management and delivery - including using business development CRM solutions
- A self-motivated approach: enjoying working to overall goals and objectives rather than precise asks
- To be excited to play a key part in a fast-growing team at Octopus and have an interest in the EV industry
