About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Director to lead our offline retail channel at Skin + Me. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our retail strategy, driving business growth, and building strong relationships with our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement our long-term commercial strategy for Skin + Me retail across traditional bricks-and-mortar and online retailers
  • Work closely with our NPD team and retailers to build a pipeline of products that will drive the growth of our retail channel
  • Create and deliver launch strategies for new products
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to deliver best-in-class brand and messaging in-store
  • Build out sales forecasts, analyze sales data, and track team performance, managing the retail P&L
  • Recruit and develop the retail team, ensuring a lean and effective structure
  • Stay up-to-date with the retail landscape and competitor activities to ensure Skin + Me remains ahead of the competition
Requirements
  • Proven retail experience, preferably in the beauty sector, with a track record of success scaling consumer brands or managing categories at major retailers
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build Excel models and derive actionable insights from data
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial skills, with a focus on value creation and business impact
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in leading teams, hiring well, and building a highly effective team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly iterate based on quantitative and qualitative insights
