Bruin is seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to join their team in the London office. As a Property Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the underwriting of quality Delegated Property business in line with the company’s Underwriting appetite.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Underwriting and Risk Assessment: Underwrite new and renewal property binders within your authority limits, referring to senior management as needed.
  2. Portfolio Management: Manage property binders, including performance reviews, claims trends, and conducting regular audits and underwriter visits.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with coverholders and brokers to secure new business.
  4. Policy Review: Review rate structures, underwriting guides, and policy wordings to ensure their suitability.
  5. Data Analysis: Provide data and reports for meetings and business plans.

Requirements:

  1. Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of international commercial property, homeowners, and high-value home insurance.
  2. Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of FCA/PRA, Lloyd’s regulations, underwriting principles, and legal guidelines.
  3. Market Familiarity: Familiarity with the Lloyd’s insurance market.
