Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious pubs. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Quality and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring presentation and quality are consistently excellent.
    • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Contribute to the development of team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing training and coaching as needed.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is ordered and stored efficiently to minimize waste and reduce costs.
    • Work with the Head Chef to develop and implement inventory management systems.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • At least 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills, with a strong focus on quality and presentation.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Education
    • Relevant culinary qualifications, such as a City & Guilds diploma or equivalent.
