As an EMEA Rates Product Controller, you will engage extensively with the Front Office trading desk, Market Risk, and various support teams. Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Your responsibilities will include the independent, precise, and timely analysis of daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and Risk for the Exotics Rates trading desk. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to deepen your understanding of Interest Rate trading strategies and risk management techniques, through exposure to one of Europe's top-ranked Rates trading desks. The Exotic Rates business encompasses a diverse array of interest rate products, including Yield Curve Spread Options, CMS, Bermudans, and Digis, alongside standard products such as Swaptions, Interest Rate swaps, and XCCY swaps across various curves and tenors in multiple European markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily reviews and reporting of P&L and Risk.
  • Validate and comprehend daily P&L explanations, including Volcker attributions, first and higher order explanations, and residual amounts.
  • Identify, design, and implement new controls and processes to enhance P&L production efficiency and align with Global Product Control standards.
  • Engage in a variety of ongoing and new projects to ensure Product Control's needs are met.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly P&L commentaries to senior management, elucidating P&L in relation to the desk's risk position, strategy, and economic factors.
  • Collaborate with Financial Control to investigate and resolve cash flow discrepancies and review FX balances.
  • Partner with the business to implement robust controls and new business initiatives.
  • Facilitate coordination across various front and back office support functions to ensure accurate and timely resolution of control and reporting issues.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
