Position Overview: This role is integral to our EPC delivery team, focusing on the management of projects for Transmission Network Owners. The initial scope will involve overseeing substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and CDM compliance across all EPC projects.
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate all facets of project execution for EPC Transmission initiatives.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the profit and loss for individual projects, ensuring timely completion and maintaining professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proposal Support: Assist in the preparation of EPC proposals and presentations.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Provide comprehensive project management from inception to completion, including collaboration with engineering and procurement teams.
  • Schedule and Cost Control: Drive project timelines, manage scope, and oversee cost control in partnership with project controls and commercial teams.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources and advise on subcontractor selection.
  • Risk Management: Support internal risk review processes and approvals.
  • Documentation: Develop project execution plans and other necessary contract documents.
  • Deliverable Confirmation: Ensure that deliverables meet client satisfaction.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including cost, schedule, safety, and environmental issues.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Report to Senior Project Managers or Contract Managers.
  • Lead all aspects of project execution within your portfolio.
  • Contribute to building a robust project management capability.
  • Collaborate with partners and engineering teams to develop technical solutions.
  • Engage professionally with clients and colleagues to achieve project goals.
  • Manage multiple projects and navigate conflicting deadlines.
  • Adapt to the needs of a growing business.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in transmission projects, with a minimum of 4 years in substation project management.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or accreditations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Membership in a relevant industry body is preferred.
