Role Overview:
The Community Support Coordinator will play a vital role in a community mentoring initiative funded by a governmental office. This service aims to assist male clients on community sentences, focusing on reducing recidivism through personal growth and practical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Support individuals on community sentences in their reintegration journey.
- Create tailored action plans in collaboration with service users.
- Conduct a minimum of five sessions per individual, addressing diverse needs.
- Facilitate one-on-one sessions to enhance resilience and stress management skills.
- Collaborate with probation officers to track progress and achievements.
Volunteer and Peer Support Mentoring:
- Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer supporters.
- Provide oversight and ensure active volunteer participation.
- Contribute to risk management and maintain accurate digital records.
Collaborative Partnerships:
- Work alongside the National Probation Service and other local organizations.
- Refer clients to additional services as necessary and monitor their progress.
- Engage in multi-agency meetings and discussions.
Administrative Duties and Reporting:
- Gather and review session reports for performance assessment.
- Maintain precise case documentation and assist in volunteer recruitment.
- Participate in service promotion and strategic planning.

- Experience working with individuals facing multiple or complex challenges, demonstrating positive outcomes.
- Ability to engage service users in the design and delivery of services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding protocols for children and vulnerable adults.
