Job Title: Sports Coach and Activity Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach and Activity Leader to join our team at Empowr-U. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sports and activity programs to children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver sports and activity programs that meet the needs of our participants.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate a team of volunteers to support the delivery of our programs.
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered to the highest standards, with a focus on safety, security, and welfare.
  • Identify business opportunities, gaps in the market, or perceived needs of potential users.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with Empowr-U workforce, clients, and partners.
  • Lead in activity development, personal development, and character development of 8-25 year olds.
  • Support the management/development of all staff, apprentices, trainees, and volunteers.
  • Lead or assist with Empowr-U events and projects, dependent on the nature of the event.
Requirements:
  • UK Driving License and ability to drive a car within the role.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage challenging groups of children and young people.
  • Committed to keeping young people safe, well, and free from harm.
  • Fun, outgoing, likeable, and able to work with people from various backgrounds.
