Sports Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Empowr-U. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the activity levels of Empowr-U within Coventry, making our organization a place that young people are engaged with.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Activity Schedules: Create and implement activity schedules that cater to the needs of young people, ensuring they have a pathway to develop themselves.
- Lead and Manage Teams: Recruit, nurture, and coordinate a team of volunteers to support the delivery of our programs.
- Ensure Safety and Security: Promote a culture of keeping children and young people safe from harm, ensuring their safety, security, and welfare are at the heart of activity delivery.
- Develop and Deliver Training: Deliver training for staff on behalf of Empowr-U, mentoring staff to become effective in their roles.
- Identify Business Opportunities: Identify business opportunities, gaps in the market, or perceived needs of potential users.
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with Empowr-U workforce, clients, and partners, as well as maintaining a professional public image.
- Lead in Activity Development: Lead in activity development, personal development, and character development of 8-25 year olds.
- Plan, Promote, Deliver, and Evaluate: Plan, promote, deliver, and evaluate Empowr-U activity sessions in Coventry and Warwickshire.
- Support Staff Development: Support the management/development of all staff, apprentices, trainees, and volunteers.
- Lead or Assist with Events: Lead or assist with Empowr-U events and projects, dependent on the nature of the event.
- Support Publicity: Support the positive development and publicity of Empowr-U.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Agree to abide by a code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with Empowr-U policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, develop and implement activity schedules, and ensure safety and security.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships, communicate effectively with staff, clients, and partners.
- Business Acumen: Ability to identify business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships, and support the positive development and publicity of Empowr-U.
- Coaching and Training Skills: Ability to deliver training for staff, mentor staff to become effective in their roles, and lead in activity development, personal development, and character development of 8-25 year olds.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems, think critically, and make informed decisions.
