Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Ward Clerical Officer to join our team on a fixed-term/secondment basis for 12 months at University Hospital Crosshouse. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our designated ward area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a clerical and reception service, receiving patients and members of the public with a high level of professionalism and courtesy.

• Maintain and file patient confidential records, ensuring accurate and secure storage.

• Record patient-related data, admissions, and out-patient appointments using our computerized patient administration system.

• Answer telephones and relay messages in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Be flexible and adaptable to meet service demands, with a willingness to work outside regular hours when necessary.

Working Hours:

19.8 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet service needs.
