About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health disorders, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders.
  • Develop and implement mental health services, including inpatient and community-based services, to meet the needs of patients and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with national guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including audit and research, to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
