Position Overview

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a strong interest in procurement and team leadership? This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the procurement operations across multiple sites within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in guiding and enhancing the dispensary team at the designated center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on procurement processes in collaboration with the procurement team, including Technicians and Pharmacists.
  • Manage daily operations and lead the dispensary staff at the designated site.
  • Establish effective communication channels with pharmaceutical wholesalers, manufacturers, and external agencies to ensure a seamless and cost-efficient supply of medications.
  • Address a variety of inquiries from pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals regarding medication procurement, availability, and supply challenges.
  • Participate in regional pharmacy procurement meetings and contribute to the tendering process for medicines and services.
  • Lead the local dispensary team in delivering a comprehensive range of pharmacy services while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Experience in mental health or physical health pharmacy service delivery is preferred.
