Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a part-time position within the Imaging Directorate at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. We seek a motivated, organized, and adaptable individual who excels in multitasking.

This role encompasses a variety of administrative responsibilities and telephone support for our Helpdesk. Effective communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, capable of managing multiple tasks, a collaborative team member, and someone who can work independently with confidence.

Flexibility is crucial, as the schedule includes shifts from Monday to Sunday, covering mornings, afternoons, long days, weekends, and bank holidays. The position may also require occasional support at the Imaging Department of County Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet patients upon arrival at the Imaging Department and assist them using the Imaging computerized system. Patients may be attending for X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or Interventional Radiology.

- Perform administrative tasks, including processing referrals, managing DNAs, responding to emails, handling telephone inquiries, batch printing, and scheduling patients accurately within the appropriate departments, along with various ad hoc duties as required.

- Collaborate with clinical Team Leaders and staff within the Imaging Department to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong educational background in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience in a reception role
  • Understanding of Data Protection and Confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience within the NHS
  • Advanced computer skills certification
  • Ability to manage customer inquiries effectively
  • Familiarity with CRIS
  • Experience in handling complaints
  • Data entry experience
