Market Development Department
The Market Development team is instrumental in driving the growth of Vantage's business across North America. Key responsibilities include Market Strategy, Site Selection & Acquisition, New Site Development, and Preconstruction. The team collaborates with various departments to ensure optimal site plans that align with the needs of wholesale and hyperscale customers, facilitating revenue realization post-construction.
Position Overview
This position can be located in one of our US offices.
Vantage is in search of a committed Master Preconstruction Scheduler to oversee scheduling and sequencing for development opportunities. This role requires close collaboration with the Preconstruction team to facilitate planning timelines, construction durations, and the analysis of project milestones. You will play a key role in site selection planning and assist in constructability analysis for new site development and construction.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in the formulation of schedules for Development and Construction projects, considering the unique complexities of Data Center Development.
- Research resource availability and optimization strategies to support New Site Development and Preconstruction efforts.
- Define activities, durations, logic, and interfaces between activities for project planning.
- Review and analyze critical path schedules for effective project management.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Monitor schedule performance, conduct data analysis, and generate reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Project Controls team to comprehend construction timelines.
- Run schedule risk scenarios and engage in process improvements.
- Manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Conduct Time Impact Analysis and Claims analysis as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling and construction document interpretation.
- Proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Project, ProCore, and PowerBI.
- Previous experience in new construction projects is preferred.
- Understanding of engineering scopes and technical processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills utilizing MS Office tools.
- Travel may be required, up to 20% initially.
