Market Development Department
The Market Development team is integral to propelling Vantage's growth across North America. Their key responsibilities encompass Market Strategy, Site Selection & Acquisition, New Site Development, and Preconstruction. This team collaborates with various departments to ensure that site plans are optimized to meet the requirements of wholesale and hyperscale clients, thereby enhancing revenue realization post-construction.
Position Overview
This role can be based in one of our US offices.
Vantage is in search of a committed Master Preconstruction Scheduler to oversee scheduling and sequencing for development opportunities. This position entails close collaboration with the Preconstruction team to facilitate planning timelines, assess construction durations, and analyze project milestones. You will play a vital role in site selection planning and assist in the constructability analysis for new site development and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating schedules for Development and Construction projects, taking into account the unique complexities associated with Data Center Development.
- Investigate resource availability and optimization strategies to bolster New Site Development and Preconstruction initiatives.
- Define activities, durations, logic, and interdependencies between activities for effective project planning.
- Review and evaluate critical path schedules for project management purposes.
- Engage in effective communication with internal stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Monitor schedule performance, conduct data analysis, and generate reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Project Controls team to comprehend construction timelines.
- Execute schedule risk scenarios and work on process enhancements.
- Manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Conduct Time Impact Analysis and Claims analysis as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of pertinent experience.
- Proficient in Critical Path Method scheduling and construction document interpretation.
- Expertise in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Project, ProCore, and PowerBI.
- Prior experience in new construction projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering scopes and technical processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities using MS Office tools.
- Willingness to travel may be required, up to 20% initially.
