Job Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the employee relations casework and team within the Trust, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and effectively in accordance with policies, legislation, and best practices. You will also assist the Head of Employee Relations in delivering a comprehensive ER service.

  • Act as a deputy for the Deputy Head of Employee Relations

Main Duties:

In addition to managing employee relations, you will have some supervisory responsibilities, utilize employee relations systems, and engage in various general duties and projects. Your primary focus will be on enhancing employee relations services and providing performance reports.

Working Environment:

This role is situated within the HR department, specifically in the Employee Relations team, where you will collaborate with colleagues at different levels to gather necessary information. This position is intended to cover maternity leave for a specified duration.

Detailed Job Description:

As previously mentioned, alongside your employee relations responsibilities, you will also have supervisory duties, work with employee relations systems, and concentrate on improving services and reporting metrics.

Qualifications:

Essential Criteria:

  • Possession of a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • CIPD qualification

Desirable Criteria:

  • Leadership or management qualification

Experience:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in advising on complex employee relations cases
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Experience in supervising staff

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within the NHS
