Behaviour Support Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support with operating the school's behaviour support system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Positive Behaviour Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Pastoral Teams to promote positive behaviour across the school.
- Support students and colleagues in achieving their goals and improving academic performance.
- Develop and implement effective behaviour support strategies to reengage students and improve their academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address barriers to learning and behaviour.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on behaviour management and support strategies.
Requirements:
- Ability to form good working relationships with students and colleagues.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative.
- High degree of professionalism in your approach to work and tasks set.
- Ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues.
- Experience of working with/caring for children or adults who have barriers to learning and/or special educational needs/behaviour issues.
- Experience working as part of a team.

Selection Criteria:
- Relevant experience and qualifications in behaviour support and management.
- Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
