About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Clinical Unit Cambridge (CUC) Leadership Team and other CUC staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the CUC Leadership Team, including scheduling appointments, managing diaries, and preparing documentation.
  • Logistics and Event Planning: Organize logistics for meetings and events, including arranging catering, visitors, and other necessary arrangements.
  • Financial Management: Support with ordering goods and services, raising purchase orders, processing payments, and tracking CUC spend.
  • Staff Support: Provide administrative support to CUC staff, including liaising with on-site third parties, arranging onboarding for new starters, and managing movers and leavers.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate, distribute, and oversee day-to-day work for the administrative team.
Requirements
  • Education: An undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Previous experience supporting and interacting with leadership team members in a similar role.
  • Skills: Business acumen, knowledge of how a Phase 1 Unit/Clinical Pharmacology Unit operates, administration and software package usage, prioritization, and excellent communication skills.
