We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our senior nursing leadership team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-functioning team, providing exceptional care to patients and their families in a 28-bedded ward.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled, evidence-based nursing care to patients admitted to the ward for rehabilitation.
- Manage the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
- Supervise and delegate nursing care to junior staff, ensuring the effective management of the ward.
- Contribute to the development of the ward team, participating in staff recruitment and selection processes, and deputizing for the Ward Manager as needed.
- Registered Nurse (RN1) with a degree or diploma and working towards a first-level degree.
- Mentor award and evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
- Experience of managing teams and clinical audit/project work.
- High level of clinical knowledge and skill, with a broad range of clinical experience.
- 27 days leave plus bank holidays, increasing up to 33 days with long service.
