About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in Newry. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management and development of a client portfolio, as well as assisting others within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Support the management and development of a portfolio of clients, ensuring their audit needs are met from planning to completion.
  • People Management: Demonstrate strong people management skills, including delegation, motivation, and support, to ensure the team's success.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, using your business network to support the firm's growth initiatives.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the firm's quality control procedures and professional standards are consistently met.
  • Client Service: Provide an efficient and proactive service to clients, anticipating their needs and addressing issues promptly.
  • Tenders and Proposals: Participate in tenders and proposals for new work, contributing to the growth and development of the firm.
  • Work Development: Develop work from existing clients and participate in broader marketing and business development activities.
  • Self-Development: Focus on self-development and continuing professional education to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Technical Support: Consult with colleagues and Partners on technical and risk matters, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Team Support: Support the team as a player while also working independently to drive results.

Key Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified, or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in audit and client management.
  • Experience in Supporting Client Portfolio Management, with a focus on delivering high-quality audit services.
  • Proven Experience in Coaching and Mentoring colleagues, helping to develop the next generation of professionals.
  • Strong Social Skills and confidence in client interactions, with the ability to overcome challenges and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Attention to Detail, proficiency with numbers, and the ability to follow processes within legislative guidelines.
