Around Noon was established in 1989 on the Chambers family kitchen table, making sandwiches for local businesses in Newry, Northern Ireland. 30 years later, having expanded to four manufacturing sites including Slough, UK, we are still making sandwiches but we’ve grown our food to go range to include a full complement of day parts. We’ve breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks & bakery treats covered.

The Around Noon Group now spans four sites; Head Office manufacturing site, Around Noon Bakery & Around Noon Print, a label printing business, in Newry, Northern Ireland & Around Noon London based in Slough. We know how important our quality products are to our customers so collectively, as a team, we drive standards with continuous improvement, product development & innovation.

Around Noon Newry are now hiring Quality Technologist, fulltime temporary. This is an exciting time to join the team with opportunities to contribute to the overall business and gain experience in a busy and commercially focused business.

**2.** **Reports to: Factory Quality Manager**

**3.** **Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities (Job Duties and Tasks)**
- Member of the HACCP Team
- Obtaining new raw material specifications from raw material suppliers.
- Ensuring approved supplier information is kept up to date.
- Completion of Weekly Taste Panels.
- Completion of GMP Audits.
- Maintenance of Quality Attribute Sheets and Training Manuals.
- Member of the Internal Auditing Team: Completing internal audits as per the internal audit program and where non-conformance is identified ensure effective communication and corrective actions are agreed.
- Support the management of third party (BRC) and customer audits
- Continual improvement as per strategic direction plan: Processes/Procedures/Equipment/Fabrication.
- Member of the Food Safety and Quality Culture Team: Responsible for ensuring continual development.
- Complete internal audits as per the internal audit program and where non-conformance is identified ensure effective communication and corrective actions are agreed with stakeholders
- Member of the internal trace team: Ensuing traceability audits are completed and where non-conformance is identified ensure that there is effective communication and corrective actions are agreed with stakeholders.
- Assisting with completion of training programmes
- Assisting with induction training programme

- 2 / 3 years QA / Technical experience in chilled short shelf life food manufacturing environment
- Understanding of food microbiology and allergens
- Strong understanding of food labelling and food information regulation

**5. Qualifications**
- Third level qualification or equivalent /Food Science
- Level 3 Food Safety/ HACCP
- BRC Audit
- Min two years’ experience within the food industry/manufacturing/Quality Management.

Hours Monday -Friday Fulltime, Permanent
