Sales and Marketing Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Sales and Marketing Director to lead our consumer business to continued growth and success.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of 6 direct reports and drive continuous improvement across all key processes.
  • Maximise sales and profits across all sales channels and brand strategies.
  • Develop strategic sales plans to deliver long-term, sustainable growth for the business.
  • Ensure effective forecasting for the sales team to manage stock efficiently.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new sales channels, retailers, product categories, and brands.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key customers and 3rd party stakeholders.
  • Lead marketing activities with significant budget responsibilities across performance media, PR, social, trade marketing, and content creation.
  • Develop reporting metrics to show ROI of advertising spend to maximise profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and trade, attending relevant networking events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership position in sales, digital marketing, or ecommerce.
  • Experience working within consumer non-food and drink industries, preferably in a considered product purchase category.
  • Strong understanding and proven track record of achieving growth across D2C and Amazon.
  • Deep understanding of customers and trading experience is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate sustainable relationship building across the customer base.
  • In-depth understanding of how to measure, monitor, and motivate a Sales team.
  • Experience of budgeting and costing, including financial planning, P&L, and ROI analysis.
  • Lead by example approach with exemplary communication skills.
  • Degree educated.
  • Full, clean, current driving license with ability to travel.
