About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Acorn Surgery. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine nursing tasks related to patient care, including immunisations, cervical screening, wound management, and chronic disease management.
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical health care records.
  • Work collaboratively with the General Practitioners and other members of the team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the needs of patients.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and effective level of practice, identifying and reporting any concerns or deficits in training.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Nursing and Midwifery Council) qualification.
  • Experience of chronic disease management, infection prevention and control measures, and wound care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions within own scope of practice.
  • Well-developed IT skills and ability to use electronic clinical health care records.
