About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Registered Nurse to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Acorn Surgery. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based care.
Main Responsibilities
As a Practice Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a high professional standard of nursing care, adhering to all Practice protocols and policies, and providing nursing assistance to GPs and other team members.
- Performing routine nursing tasks related to patient care, such as immunisations, cervical screening, wound management, and chronic disease management.
- Maintaining accurate electronic clinical healthcare records.
- Working flexibly to meet the changing needs of the Practice and the healthcare service.

Person Specification
We are looking for a Nurse with:
- Experience of chronic disease management.
- Experience of working autonomously.
- Experience of infection prevention and control measures.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills

- Mentor or teaching qualification.
- Postgraduate diploma or degree in Chronic Disease Management.
- Nurse prescriber qualification.
- Family planning qualification.
