Position Summary

The Expeditor role is a vital position within our operations team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This position encompasses:

External Order Management

  • Overseeing and monitoring the progress of purchase orders while collaborating with suppliers to guarantee the prompt delivery of materials, components, or services.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between the organization and suppliers post-purchase order issuance.
  • Tracking delays in external orders and coordinating with the planning assistant to provide customers with current delivery timelines.
  • Prioritizing urgent orders with suppliers as necessary.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of order statuses, delivery schedules, and supplier delays to generate performance reports.
  • Utilizing the SAGE 200 system to update purchase order delivery timelines.

Internal Workflow Coordination

  • Collaborating with the Sales-Admin team to ensure timely workflow provision to production.
  • Assessing internal workflows to identify procurement gaps and working with the purchasing team to address these issues.
  • Reviewing internal workflows with the planning assistant to pinpoint delays in customer orders and collaborating with the operations team to seek resolutions.
  • Performing filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks.
  • Generating purchase orders aligned with production consumable needs.
  • Working closely with production and quality teams to meet weekly output targets and customer expectations.

Additional Responsibilities

Executing any other tasks assigned by management as required.
