Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Management Specialist to join our team at Oceaneering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on corrosion management systems and services to ensure the integrity of our clients' assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client standards, providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management.
  • Corrosion Management: Assist in the development and maintenance of client integrity strategy documentation, and ensure the implementation of corrosion management control strategies.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and authority in designated corrosion engineering disciplines, designating work to assistant engineers and verifying their output.
  • Risk-Based Assessments: Undertake risk-based assessments on behalf of clients, providing corrosion expertise and interacting with multi-disciplinary RBA or other process groups.
  • Inspection and Monitoring: Provide input to the production and ongoing management of asset Annual Inspection Plans and client planning process compliance for corrosion monitoring activities.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Undertake investigation of anomalies and evidence of material deterioration or failure, providing recommendations for remediation.
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver periodic reports, corrosion status of systems, and identification and assessment of significant trends from surveys and Chemical and Corrosion Control Matrices (CCCMs).
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Maintain appropriate levels of contact with asset teams, third parties, and internal disciplines to ensure an effective Corrosion Management service.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Materials Engineering or a related engineering/science discipline with relevant supplementary Materials Engineering/Corrosion training.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Engineer as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent, postgraduate qualification in corrosion, and offshore medical, BOSIET, and MIST certification.
