Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for the effective implementation and management of corrosion control systems and services at designated sites. This role involves ensuring, in collaboration with the Senior Inspection Engineer, that the integrity of equipment and facilities is upheld in line with Oceaneering and client standards, as well as UK regulations. Feedback on results will be communicated to the Client Principal Integrity Engineer.

Core Functions

Essential Duties

· Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and client specifications.

· Assist the Project Manager and Senior Inspection Engineer in managing the Oceaneering contract, providing assurance on technical execution and financial oversight.

· Contribute to the development and upkeep of client integrity strategy documentation, ensuring the implementation of corrosion management protocols.

· Provide technical guidance and leadership in the corrosion engineering field, assigning tasks to junior engineers as appropriate and reviewing their outputs.

· Conduct risk-based assessments for clients and offer corrosion expertise while effectively collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

· Contribute to the creation and ongoing management of asset Annual Inspection Plans, ensuring compliance with planning processes for corrosion monitoring activities.

· Support the Senior Inspection Engineer in developing and reviewing inspection workscopes and workpacks for piping and vessels.

· Ensure the innovative application of inspection techniques and corrosion engineering practices.

· Investigate anomalies and signs of material degradation or failure, providing recommendations for remediation.

· Oversee and coordinate third-party investigations related to material and corrosion issues, following established investigation protocols.

· Deliver authoritative technical assessments and interpretations of corrosion and inspection monitoring data.

· Suggest modifications to corrosion criticality analyses and monitoring/inspection programs as necessary.

· Produce periodic reports detailing the corrosion status of systems, identifying and assessing significant trends from surveys and Chemical and Corrosion Control Matrices (CCCMs).

· Maintain effective communication with asset teams, third parties, and internal departments to ensure a comprehensive Corrosion Management service.

· Compile Quarterly and Annual Integrity Status Reports with assistance from onshore and offshore Inspection Engineers.

· Occasionally, provide on-site technical expertise at offshore locations as required.

· Assist the Project Manager in achieving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets and overall service management.

Non-Essential Duties

· The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional tasks as necessary.

· Engage in specific projects as directed by management.

Qualifications

Required

· A degree in Materials Engineering or a related discipline, or a degree in a relevant engineering/science field with supplementary training in Materials Engineering or Corrosion.

Desired

· Chartered Engineer status as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.

· Postgraduate qualification in corrosion.

· Offshore medical, BOSIET, and MIST certifications.
