Workington, Cumbria, United Kingdom The City & Guilds Group Full time
Submissions Manager

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Submissions Manager to become a vital part of our Products team.

As educational reforms evolve, various pathways will emerge that necessitate precise information for future qualification acknowledgment.

This position involves overseeing the diverse processes, requirements, systems, and external partners associated with these submissions. You will significantly influence the future of funded programs at City & Guilds, ensuring that our employer-recognized qualifications are submitted punctually, accurately, and effectively to secure the necessary funding and acknowledgment.

We offer flexibility in your work location, allowing you to be based anywhere in the UK, although most of our team operates from London, necessitating occasional attendance at our London office for meetings.

Appointments will be made based on qualifications and experience.

We value diversity and inclusion, believing that they enhance our organization. We encourage applications from underrepresented communities, including ethnic minorities and individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

Your primary goal will be to develop, implement, and oversee a clear and effective submissions process and timelines for the recognition of UK qualifications across various regulatory bodies, such as IfATE, ESFA, DfE, QW, etc. This will ensure a uniform approach to qualification submissions across different processes and platforms.

You will leverage your knowledge of submission requirements to act as the designated point of contact for qualification submissions and inquiries from regulatory bodies, ensuring timely dissemination of information to relevant teams. You will monitor risks and mitigations related to submission timelines and submission quality, while also tracking approval rates to recommend enhancements to submissions and drive successful outcomes.

About You

A solid understanding of the education sector, including knowledge of upcoming reforms and current qualification frameworks, is essential. Experience working with various government and regulatory agencies will enable you to interpret and analyze complex governmental and regulatory information and guidance. Familiarity with policy and regulatory requirements for qualifications will assist you in establishing the appropriate submission processes.

You will excel at tracking and documenting information to evaluate success rates, which will inform your reporting on submissions and improvement strategies. Your clear and concise communication skills will facilitate understanding among teams regarding requirements, enabling you to gather necessary information for submissions. With strong organizational skills, matrix working abilities, and meticulous attention to detail, you will confidently manage this crucial role.
