About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance and projects activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements.
  • Inspect and use plant equipment, machinery, and personal protective equipment correctly, and take corrective action within your competency level.
  • Carry out necessary actions to ensure your own safety and that of others in the event of an abnormal situation or emergency.
Maintenance and Projects Management
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with the Maintenance and Projects Policy.
  • Carry out and regularly review risk assessments of all work activities and ensure adequate control measures are in place.
  • Ensure that all employees receive adequate training and instruction appropriate to their work.
Leadership and Communication
  • Manage multi-disciplined departments in maintenance and project activities.
  • Communicate effectively with Local Authorities, Health and Safety Executive, Contracts, and Consultants.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience
  • Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in Maintenance/Reliability and Projects within Chemical/Petrochemical environment.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Wide knowledge of engineering practice and chemical plant maintenance.
  • Contractual administration and financial/budgetary control and management.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits.
