Position Overview

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has emerged within our Chief Information Security Office. Reporting directly to the IT Governance and Reporting Manager, the IT Governance Specialist will be responsible for establishing and sustaining a risk-oriented IT Governance framework aimed at effectively mitigating risks.

You will assist in the design, execution, and management of IT Controls. Serving as the primary resource for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing IT policies and procedures, you will also evaluate existing process alignment and promote the adoption of industry best practices such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO standards. In addition to these duties, you will collaborate with various teams to enhance the ServiceNow platform, ensuring that updates are communicated to key stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications for Success

As a seasoned Governance Specialist, you will possess:

  • A solid understanding of IT Controls, Governance, and Risk Management.
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Familiarity with COBIT or equivalent frameworks, and experience with ServiceNow or other Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Proficiency in Office365 tools or similar applications.
  • A proactive attitude, with a passion for change and a dynamic work environment.
  • The ability to quickly absorb information and apply insights that influence downstream decisions.
  • Self-motivation, organizational skills, and accountability for managing your workload to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas to non-technical audiences and collaborating effectively with non-technical colleagues and business leaders.
  • Excellent documentation capabilities.
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
