About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adult Mental Health Service in Neath Port Talbot Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, with a focus on single point of admission services.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and initiatives, aligning with Welsh Government priorities and national standards.
  • Collaborate with community crisis services to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement and audit activities, driving excellence in patient care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Adult Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months.
  • Teaching qualification or higher qualification in medical education.
  • Proven experience in working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a track record of initiating and completing audit projects.
  • Strong leadership and teaching skills, with the ability to take a lead role in clinical development.
