Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our High Voltage (HV) Underground Cables team in London. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our output in the production and control of drawings and technical documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of designs through a robust checking process
  • Assist in the bid process to secure further work
  • Work on a mix of small cable projects, from short cable replacements within substations to major grid reinforcement projects
  • Produce designs, calculations, reports, and drawings associated with new or modified EHV projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in the production of designs, calculations, reports, and drawings associated with EHV projects. You will also have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering
  • Working toward CEng status
  • Ideal experience with TP137 authorisation by National Grid
