Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a 6-month interim basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Finance in the production and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Account Packs.
  • Manage the technical finance requirements of our ERP accounting system.
  • Assist with the maintenance of projects and contracts to ensure the integrity of revenue and margin reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Maintain month-end reconciliations and post journals as needed.
  • Prepare schedules for annual audit.
  • Run month-end revenue recognition routines.
  • Manage the ERP accounting system, including pulling through opening balances, maintaining GL accounts, and resolving system queries.
  • Active involvement in project budget review cycles and maintaining systems with correct budgets.
  • Maintain the capex tracker of actual and forecast spend vs budget.
Requirements:
  • Part Qualified or Finalist or Qualified, or Qualified by Experience.
  • Experience in using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of Long Term Contract Accounting and Inventory an advantage.
  • Intermediate/Advanced level user of Excel.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to communicate with staff from all levels within the business.
