Job Summary

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join its Finance Department as a Lead Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end processes, including journal approvals, accruals, prepayments, and payroll.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting records and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and investigate transactional issues in relevant systems.
  • Provide support to members of the wider finance team and line-manage two Finance Analysts and an Assistant Accountant.
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C or 4 or above.
  • ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
  • Strong understanding of Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Knowledge of using accounting systems.
  • Ability to operate effectively as a member of a busy team and be a team player.
