We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our team of chefs to ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless service and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Train and develop junior chefs, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Review and manage inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary control, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts, including costings and nutritional analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve high-quality standards and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ordering platforms, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
