Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at VetPartners based at our Central Support Office in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the facilities and maintenance of our office, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day facilities and maintenance operations of the Central Support Office
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for visiting contractors and supervise their work
  • Conduct regular site checks and fabric inspections to identify potential issues
  • Collect and manage data required for statutory reporting on compliance
  • Advise Practice Managers on health and safety and contractor management
  • Lead on asbestos management across the estate
  • Occasional travel to sites to assess issues raised
  • Contract management - ensure service providers uphold contractual obligations
Requirements:
  • Building/Trade based qualification
  • IOSH/NEBOSH an advantage
  • CDM/SMSTS
  • Up to date knowledge of facilities compliance standards
  • Demonstrable experience in facilities role
  • Knowledge of property construction methods, building fabric, and mechanical and electrical services
  • Proven experience in additional works management
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel
  • Experienced at managing property facilities and functions
  • Experience in project management
  • Good commercial knowledge and property management legislation
  • A sound understanding of H&S procedures across all aspects of building management
