Job Title: Emergency Response Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Officer to join our team at South Gloucestershire Council. As an Emergency Response Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient provision of emergency and urgent personal care welfare visits to residents in South Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, Assess, and Implement Emergency Personal Care Packages: You will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and implementing emergency personal care packages for new and existing service users, promoting independence and delivering a high standard of personalized care.
- Coordinate Immediate Response to Telecare and Carer's Emergencies: You will coordinate an immediate response to Telecare and Carer's emergencies, utilizing your specialist knowledge, skills, and experience to respond to complex situations.
- Assess Service Users with Complex Needs: You will assess service users with complex needs in emergency situations out of hours, compiling and implementing short-term care packages to be reviewed by the appropriate daytime services.
- Ensure Responders are Up-to-Date with Training and Supervisions: You will be responsible for ensuring that all responders in your team have a Care Certificate where necessary and that all are up to date with supervisions, team meetings, and training.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification in Health and Social Care: We require you to have a professional qualification in Health and Social Care to Diploma (level 5) or degree level.
- Knowledge of Relevant Legislation and Regulations: You will have knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Knowledge of Emergency Response Team Processes and Procedures: You may also have knowledge of the processes and procedures of an emergency response team.
Working Arrangements:
This is an ad-hoc contract, and you will be asked to cover out-of-hours shifts. You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area, so you must have a full valid driving license with regular access to a vehicle or alternative appropriate means of travel.
