Emergency Response Officer

As a Casual Emergency Service Officer with South Gloucestershire Council, you will play a vital role in enabling residents to live independently in their own homes. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating a rapid response service to provide emergency and urgent personal care welfare visits to residents in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Review, assess, and implement emergency personal care packages for new and existing service users, promoting independence and delivering high-quality, personalized care.
- Coordinate an immediate response to Telecare and Carer's emergencies, utilizing your specialist knowledge, skills, and experience to respond to complex situations.
- Assess service users with complex needs in emergency situations out of hours, compiling and implementing short-term care packages for review by day-time services.
- Ensure all responders in your team have a Care Certificate where necessary and are up-to-date with supervisions, team meetings, and training.
As a Casual Emergency Service Officer, you will be required to cover out-of-hours shifts, including:
Monday to Thursday: 16:30 - 22:15
Friday: 16:00 - 22:00
Saturday, Sundays, and Bank Holidays: 8:00 - 15:00 or 15:00 - 22:15
Casual hourly rate: £17.59
