The role of Warehouse Operations Leader includes:

  • Overseeing picking activities within the assigned area to ensure safety and efficiency are upheld according to company standards and objectives.
  • Accurate selection and shipment of caged goods, operating in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Leading a team of approximately 3-5 warehouse staff.
  • Motivating warehouse personnel to promote best practices.
  • Taking necessary actions through shift supervisors to resolve any system or facility issues impacting optimal picking rates promptly.
  • Ensuring warehouse staff adhere to company protocols regarding safety and picking procedures.
  • Identifying empty pick locations and requesting stock replenishment through shift supervisors if not already initiated in the system.
  • Monitoring completed picks to ensure best practices regarding caged goods, consolidation, and security are maintained to maximize load fill without damaging customer products.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and one-on-one meetings with direct reports as necessary to uphold company standards and targets.

Essential qualifications for Warehouse Operations Leader:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or transportation environment is crucial.
  • Possession of a current Counterbalance or Bendi forklift license.
  • Proficiency in IT, including warehouse management systems, is preferred.
  • Ability to lead change, engage, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Capability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in leading a remote team is advantageous.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential, both over the phone and via email.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and workload prioritization.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
