Position: VNA Warehouse Operative

Schedule: Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays)

Shifts: 07:00 am – 3:30 pm and 14:30 pm – 23:00 pm

Compensation: £13.50 per hour

Location: St. Modwen Park

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Efficiently managing the receipt and storage of incoming goods while ensuring that stock levels are accurately maintained.
  • Utilizing your strong organizational skills and attention to detail to oversee inventory accuracy and stock replenishment.
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Goods In Operative.
  • A valid VNA license is required for this role; in-house licenses are acceptable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Goods Reception:
  • Process all incoming deliveries in accordance with warehouse protocols, including receiving, logging, and verifying stock items.
  • Safely unload deliveries in a timely manner, completing necessary delivery checklists.
  • Address any discrepancies in deliveries by verifying and reporting to the supervisor.
  • Check batches and expiry dates, processing goods accordingly.
  1. Stock Management:
  • Organize stock and non-stock items for easy identification and traceability, implementing first-expiry, first-out (FEFO) controls.
  • Transfer stock from Goods In to bulk storage, ensuring the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is updated with all stock movements.
  • Conduct periodic checks of bulk and picking locations to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Reserve stock and complete monthly batch reports detailing expiry dates.
  • Consolidate stock to optimize pallet space.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform bulk picking and verification for large customer orders.
  • Assist with in-house kit production fulfillment.
  • Replenish the pick face promptly to meet customer order service levels.
  • Support ad hoc and formal stocktaking activities.
  • Conduct daily and weekly checks of material handling equipment.
  • Provide coverage for outbound goods processing, ensuring all dispatches comply with warehouse procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for all consignments and ensure proper documentation accompanies dispatched goods.
  • Regularly maintain and document the condition of material handling equipment.
  • Carry out other warehouse tasks as directed by the Operations Team Leader, including stocktaking.
  • Ensure the warehouse environment remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
