Active Care Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Bobbins Swindon.

At Bobbins, we provide residential supported living care to children with severe physical or learning disabilities, including autism. Our highly trained staff team empowers these children to strive for independence, tailored to their individual needs and aspirations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to our clients with daily activities, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
  • Effectively lead shifts by maintaining appropriate staffing levels and overseeing the delivery of care services.
  • Collaborate with the service manager to implement and review personalized care plans, promoting structure and routine for each client.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel secure and supported in their daily lives.
  • Administer medication (if required) and provide personal care assistance according to established protocols.
  • Contribute to the on-call team, ensuring continuous support for our clients.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Utilize trained techniques and aids (hoists, wheelchairs, modified bathing equipment) to support clients with physical disabilities.
Your Qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, planning, and communication skills.
  • Possess a flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working environments.
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be committed to pursuing this qualification.
  • Have a sound understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Exhibit proven reliability in terms of full attendance and punctuality.
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Display self-confidence and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • A driving license is preferred but not essential.
