We are seeking a dedicated Children's Care Support Worker to contribute to our mission at Active Care Group.

In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering residential support to children facing significant physical or cognitive challenges, including autism. Our highly skilled team fosters an environment that encourages children to pursue independence tailored to their unique needs.

This service is designed to accommodate children and young individuals with various learning disabilities, including severe challenges and complex health requirements. As a member of our team, you will engage directly in the holistic care of these children, collaborating closely with families and other professionals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall management and organization of the care facility to ensure effective operations.
  • Foster a nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive, be stimulated, and reach their potential.
  • Implement and follow established care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Participate in recreational activities, both individually and in groups, to enhance the children's experience.
  • Provide direct care to children, following comprehensive training.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to document progress and needs of individual children.
  • Perform domestic and practical tasks as needed to support the home's operations.
  • Attend to the basic needs of children, including assistance with feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • After a successful probationary period, take on the role of link worker for specific individuals.
  • Engage in staff meetings, supervision, and training sessions to enhance your skills.
  • Promote community involvement and awareness.
  • Communicate the needs of the children and the establishment to senior staff.
  • Complete specific tasks assigned by management related to the facility's operations.

As a support worker, you will also provide approved complex medical care under the guidance of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
