Department Overview
The Operations department at Allica Bank is integral to executing daily business transactions. This function encompasses a broad range of responsibilities aimed at supporting customers across various product lines, including Commercial Mortgages, Asset Finance, Deposits, and Payment Accounts. Our primary focus is on ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies:
- Efficient digital account setup and ongoing customer service.
- Customer interactions through multiple channels including phone, email, and in-app messaging.
- Management of payment processes and reconciliations.
- Treasury management operations.
- Conducting customer due diligence in line with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) protocols.
- Overseeing the lending pipeline.
- Ensuring quality assurance and control measures are in place.
- Resolving customer issues effectively.
- Maintaining accurate records and data management.
- Supporting all change initiatives within the bank.
Role Overview
The CDD Analyst is responsible for executing all customer due diligence activities necessary for onboarding and ongoing assessments of both retail and SME clients. This role involves ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations in collaboration with the Risk and Compliance teams. The analyst will focus on risk management and regulatory adherence while prioritizing the interests of customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive CDD record and review framework, ensuring all documentation is accurately organized and compliant with established procedures.
- Implement an AML record-keeping and review system, ensuring proper cataloging and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate CDD processes to identify and address potential failure points.
- Develop a CDD reporting dashboard aligned with operational needs.
- Ensure effective controls are in place for managing exceptions and reconciliations, escalating issues as necessary.
- Act as a subject matter expert in CDD and AML, collaborating with project teams to integrate relevant responsibilities into new initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in CDD and AML processes, with experience in KYC policy development and implementation.
- Strong understanding of FCA, PRA regulations, and JMLSG guidelines.
- Ability to manage and approve CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) cases within designated authority.
- Proficient in reviewing CDD records for compliance and accuracy.
- Experience with various entity types, including complex structures such as SPVs, charities, and trusts.
- Skilled in determining beneficial ownership and conducting necessary checks, including PEP and sanctions.
- Experience in liaising with internal teams and serving as a client contact for query resolution.
- Proven track record in developing strategies to mitigate CDD and AML risks.
- Experience in enhancing customer experiences related to CDD and AML processes.
